Things we didn’t know about Okonkwo, but now we know from chapter 10,11,12. The priestess came to Okonkwo's hut to take his daughter Ezinma because Agbala told the priestess to take Ezinma now. “Okonkwo was still pleading that the girl had been ill of late and was asleep.”100. Okonkwo knows that Ezinma is sleeping and she is not feeling good so he trying to convince the priestess. Okonkwo is normally not this carrying to people and his children, but with Ezinma he is. Okonkwo's wives were getting ready to go to Obierika’s wife so they can help her cook for the big feast, but before the wives left Okonkwo asked who will prepare my afternoon meal then ojiugo said I will return to do it. “Okonkwo was also feeling tired , and sleepy, for although nobody else knew it, he had not slept at all last night.” “112”. Okonkwo is not feeling so well because of last night but he doesn’t want to tell anyone. On page 112 we learn that Okonkwo doesn’t like showing his weakness to other so he hides it from people all around him even the ones close to him.
