HOW TO AVOID SQUABBLING OVER SPIRITUAL GIFTS (1 Corinthians 12:12-31) 1 We’re one body, and we stand or fall together (12,13) 2 We’re incomplete (grotesque, useless) on our own (12) 3 We need each other (14-20)

5 We must not judge anyone insignificant or unimportant (22-25) 6 The gifts are not for you! (7, 25, 1 Corinthians 13) 7 No one has all the gifts (29,30) 4 God has arranged the parts - not the Vicar or the PCC … or YOU!! (18)

11 Compassion and ‘conjubilation’ is the name of the game (26) 8 None of the gifts is given to everyone (29,30?) 9 Some gifts are ‘greater’ (31a) 10 Love is ‘the way’ to use all the gifts (31b) 12 Jesus is Lord! (3) [ - if we let him?]

Finally, a picture of Jesus …. The body of Christ Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work today; He has no feet but our feet to lead men in His way; He has no voice but our voice to tell men how He died; He has no help but our help to lead them to His side.

Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work today; He has no feet but our feet to lead men in His way. He has no voice but our voice to tell men how He died; He has no help but our help to lead them to His side.
