3 MAIN PARTS  Fan  Compressor  Combustor  Turbine  Nozzle

4 Processes in the engine  Air enters the engine through the fan  Some air is compressed in the compressor  Compressed air is mixed with fuel and ignited in the combustor  Heat and pressure cause the air expand through the turbins, part of the air spins the turbine  Burning mixture exits the engine throuhg the exhaust nozzle, which generates thrust

9 Processes in the engine  Air flows into the engine  Air is compressed to high pressure  Fuel is injected  Cooler air reduces temperature  Gas exits the exhaust nozzle, which generates thrust

13 MAIN PARTS  Propeller  Compressor  Combustor  Turbine+extra  Nozzle

14 MAIN PARTS  Reduction Gear box  Propeller drive shaft

15 Processes in the engine  The same principle as turbojet or turbofan  Most of the hot air is used for rotating the extra turbine  The extra turbine makes the propeller spin using reduction gear

20 MAIN PARTS  Reduction Gear box  Drive shaft+extra shaft

21 Processes in engine  The same principle as the turboprop engine  The propeller is removed  There is couple of gear boxes  It can drive a helicopter rotor
