5 Water Facts Bathroom claims nearly 50% of water use In 1990, the average person used 183 gallons of water per day. The Months with the least precipitation are the months we use the most water. In the summer, water use increases between 50-250% This increase is mostly attributable to the watering of lawns.

10 Conclusion Water conservation occurs through what we DO, not by what we KNOW. So, we must use our water wisely, water has been cheap and unfortunately we have been careless and wasteful. Water is a precious resource to us and to future generations, life wouldn't be the same without it. We must all begin to use this resource more carefully and efficiently.
