10 6.What was the reason to go there?

11 Living in Slovakia I have come to Slovakia from Poland in 1998. I was 26 years old then and I came to marry my fiancé. I did not start to work immediately, though I could speak Slovak language. We went back to my home two or three times a year. Luckily Poland is near to Slovakia, so it was not very difficult. I found it very hard in the beginning of my stay because I missed my family very much and I did not know anybody apart from the family of my husband. But as the time went by the children came and I got used to living in Slovakia. There are not great differencies between the countries, so now I am quite content to live here with my family.

12 Living abroad I arrived in the USA 12 years ago as a student. I was only 19 years old but very excited. I liked the family I was staying with. We became good friends and I had a really good time with them. After one year I should go back to Slovakia but I was proposed to study at university. My parents were not happy because they knew that I was thinking about staying here. After I finished school I decided to get a job and apply for a permanent residency in the USA. Later I met my husband and we have now two children. I feel I made the right choice by boarding the plane 12 years ago. It has been an incredible journey and led to the happy end. I encourage all young people to follow the path they choose and get what they long for.

13 Thank you for your attention. GOODBYE
