2. Vision To make MyPlaceofPride the driving force to help Bengaluru become the most liveable and cleanest city in the country by 2020 and be a model city for other urban spaces in India!!!

Mission MyPlaceofPride is set out to invoke sense of pride among all Bengalureans for their immediate communities, neighbourhoods & surroundings with an inclusive competition where everyone from a school kid to a CEO of a company could participate towards the improvement of the current state of their city to that of a spic and span metro !

4. Objective  To clean up, to spruce up our city and to make it truly the Cleanest Metro in India  Fund our Rotary Club’s projects that are aligned with MyPlaceofPride’s objectives.

Inspiration Bengaluru is an ever expanding urban zone where the combined apathy of government agencies and citizens towards city planning and maintaining, has resulted in the city that does not invoke pride. This essentially means that it has been left up to the few citizen’s conscience to take up in their hands matters such as the routine clean-up of the city like picking, transporting and disposal of garbage, waste segregation, providing basic utilities to the public like garbage bins, public toilets to stop people from littering the streets and defecating in public. However the glimmer of hope is being provided by its 9.5 million population with 87% literacy rates, where various “Bengaluru Rising” forums are working in various capacities to involve, draw govt’s attention and create self-help groups etc. to ease the situation. But still its less than 5% of public who are socially active. MyPlaceofPride INTENDS TO CHANGE THAT !

6. How will MyPlaceofPride work? In its year of inception (2016), MyPlaceofPride will focus only on residential communities.  Identify Categories among Residential communities  Villa community  Large Apartment Complex (301 and above units)  Medium Apartment Complex (101 to 300 units)  Small Apartment Complex (50 to 100 units)  Grading criteria** for each category (Ranking methodology will be shared on request)  Invite registrations from each categorized locality for a nominal fee  Evaluation**  Public Poll  Expert Committee  Self declaration  Prize distribution ** In consultation with our growing list of Advisory partners such as BPAC, CDD, ORR Rising and Whitefield Rising

7. What will MyPlaceofPride achieve ? Awaken civic conscience of the citizens of Bengaluru Create a public drive across all sections of the city and population to create ideal neighbourhoods in Bengaluru Motivate everyone to compete and in the process, improve their neighbourhoods Encourage clean and environmental friendly way of life.
