3 Troubleshooting steps for Network Failure An incorrect password can prevent the Xbox 360 console from getting an IP address. Let's try entering the wireless password again. 1. On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings. 2. Select Network Settings. 3. Select Configure Network. 4. On the Basic Settings tab, select Wireless Mode.

4 5. Select Scan for Networks. 6. Select the wireless network name. Note If the network is not listed, select Specify Unlisted Network, and then the wireless network name. 7. Enter the wireless network password, and then select Done.

5 8. Press the B button on the controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection. If this solution worked, you'll see this screen:

6 Set the Xbox 360 console with Static IP settings Before setting static IP in the console, check the IP in the computer 1. On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings. 2. Select Network Settings. 3. Select Configure Network. 4. On the Basic Settings tab, select IP Settings.

8 7. Enter the unique IP address that you made up, and then select Done.

18 Check for the network hardware compatible for Xbox To find the if the network hardware is compatible with Xbox LIVE, look for one of the following logos on the product box: Network hardware with these logos have been tested to work with Xbox LIVE.

19 MTU error 1.Change the MTU in the Router page. 2.Check the wireless signal strength.

22 Troubleshooting steps for NAT connection Warning error Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a standard that helps routers communicate effectively. Here's how to turn it on: 1. Turn on UPnP on the network hardware. To do this, log in to the router's web-based configuration page to check the UPnP setting. Refer to the router's documentation or support web site for help turning on UPnP. 2. If you changed the UPnP setting, restart the Xbox 360 console and all network hardware. 3. Test the Xbox LIVE connection (on the console, go to My Xbox, select System Settings, select Network Settings, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection). Turn on UPnP
