WFWP-Nepal staff and local women help divide the tin roofs for the victims to be distributed.

The families who received the tin roof were so happy and grateful to WFWP-USA who donated relief at the right time. Now it is monsoon or rainy season in Nepal so the tin roof is very useful for their temporary shelter. One of the victims Mr Ramhari Shrestha is a local resident living in Ramkot. He treasures his house as his only property for 70 years. All his ancestors’ memories are there; now it’s gone.
13
Mr & Mrs Bishnu Gurung: He is a laborer. He made a small house from his lifetime income but his house completely collapsed during the earthquake. This is the only house where his family in the past happily lived. Mr. Krishna Bhakta and Mrs. Maya Shrestha are 75 years old. They work so hard in their lifetime. The only investment they have is their house. During the earthquake, Mr. Krishna Shrestha was working in the field. He had three sons. The only property they have is their house but it was destroyed at the time of the earthquake. Mrs. Maya’s work is collecting bricks while carrying them on her back, so she is so sad that she couldn’t save things for their livelihood while her husband is planting potatoes. It’s not easy as they are in their senior years.
