To make sure products are reliable How to use a product correctly and safely: milk, oil Where certain products can be sold: GAP vs Old Navy Indicate who the user can/should be: industrial or home use Helps Salespeople: justify price, sell benefits, meet customer needs Indicate product safety: food Help sell products abroad: meet requirements for producing and shipping

Quantity: how much will be produced in 1 day 3. Time: the amount of time it takes to complete an activity. 4. Cost: used to specify project or product costs.

Oil- Graded according to its thickness 4. Fuel- Graded according to its octane rating 5. Coal- Graded according to its carbon and sulphur content 6. Lumber- Hardwoods are graded according to size, quality, and type of wood
