2. setting / people War Horse’s setting is in world war one. Some of the people in the book are Albert Joey and the German’s. Albert is a boy that has to sell his horse and joins the war to find him. Joey is the horse that Albert wants to find he a very hard time in the war including almost getting killed.

3. main idea The main idea is that Albert the boy loves his horse Joey and joey got sold to the war. Albert has to join the war to be able to find him again. It talks about what Joey has to go through and how he joins one team then the other then a different team and how he gets hurt and was almost dead.
