8. “As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.” Matthew 4:18

9. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.” Matthew 4:19-20

10. “Going from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets.” Matthew 4:21

11. “Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.” Matthew 4:21-22

12. Luke’s account of our story

15. One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.” Luke 5:1

16. “He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.” Luke 5:2

17. “He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.” Luke 5:3

18. “When he finished speaking, he said to Simon…” Luke 5:4

19. “When he finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down your nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4
