1 Printing: Your printer might not print the same way our printers do, so make sure to try a couple of test prints. If things aren’t aligning quite right, experiment with the Scale to Fit Paper setting. It’s located in the Print dialog – just click Full Page Slides to get to it. And did you notice we made fold marks for you? They are really light, but if you don’t like them showing on your brochure, click View, Slide Master, and delete them before you print. Customizing the Content: If you need more placeholders for titles, subtitles or body text, just make a copy of what you need and drag it into place. PowerPoint’s Smart Guides will help you align it with everything else. By the way, if you need to move or copy the red lines, you can select them by clicking the dotted outlines. What is the Deerfield Education Foundation? The Deerfield Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization made up of community members and educators working together to raise money for the benefit of students in Deerfield Public School District 109 Independent of the District, School Board, and PTOs All-volunteer organization comprised of local school community stakeholders, in existence for almost 20 years Our fundraising focus: Funding projects related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) A Foundation Investing in Educational Excellence Over the last year, the Deerfield Education Foundation has approved over $100,000 in funding across all six District 109 schools, from kindergarten through eighth grade. The Foundation recently purchased full sets of 25 iPads for each of the four elementary school Library Media Centers for research activities, group learning, artifact production, eBook creation, and audio and camera features to extend learning with multimedia. That grant followed the purchase of two full sets of 30 iPads to equip the Caruso and Shepard middle school LMCs, enabling students to create multimedia reports, research, film science projects, and facilitate online production of classroom newspapers. These were the latest steps in our continued mission of meaningfully enhancing the educational environment of District 109 students by supporting inspiring programs and projects in partnership with our community. Our current focus is funding programs in the STEAM arena (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Our fundraising initiatives include raising money to purchase materials for new science labs at District 109 schools. Our Foundation’s goals are aligned with the District’s long-range plans and are focused on enhancing educational experiences for all of our students. “We would like to be able to fund more exciting, innovative projects, but we need help. The Foundation's financial resources come solely from tax deductible donations, from parents, teachers, staff, community members and local businesses, and we need more charitable support to continue to provide these grants.” - Holly Aaronson, president Deerfield Education Foundation
