1 Printing: Your printer might not print the same way our printers do, so make sure to try a couple of test prints. If things aren’t aligning quite right, experiment with the Scale to Fit Paper setting. It’s located in the Print dialog – just click Full Page Slides to get to it. And did you notice we made fold marks for you? They are really light, but if you don’t like them showing on your brochure, click View, Slide Master, and delete them before you print. Customizing the Content: The placeholders in this brochure are formatted for you. If you want to add or remove bullet points from text, just click the Bullets button on the Home tab. If you need more placeholders for titles, subtitles or body text, just make a copy of what you need and drag it into place. PowerPoint’s Smart Guides will help you align it with everything else. Want to use your own pictures instead of ours? No problem! Just click a picture, press the Delete key, then click the icon to add your picture. If you replace a photo with your own and it’s not a flawless fit for the space, you can crop it to fit in almost no time. Just select the picture and then, on the Picture tools Format tab, in the Size group, click Crop. 4567 Main Street Raleigh, NC 02134 Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Club Information Leaflet Wanted… Disabled women and long term injured running game players to play in our team. Now all ages, a wide range of impairments/dis abilities, male and females, play internationally, nationally and locally throughout the UK and world. People play wheelchair basketball with a wide range of impairments/disabilities, some of them life-long, some of them acquired, but all here to stay, including: Leg amputations Spina Bifida Cerebal Palsy Spinal injuries Polio Genetic physical conditions Cancer survivors Hip, knee and ankle problems so cannot run anymore. Club History The Eastern Blue Stars was formed in 2010 by players from all over the East Anglia region, some of whom had previously been travelling up to 150 miles for training and for games. The new ‘local’ club’s first season (2010/2011) was very successful: with a very high calibre of experienced players living in the Eastern region, we played in Division 1 of the British Wheelchair Basketball’s Women’s League, and we won this convincingly. Since then the club has evolved, first to include a second team to encourage developing players from the East Region and London. Then shrinking again as players have left the region. Now, in the 2014/2015 season, we have a development team of Eastern Region players, competing in Division 2 of the Women’s League. We play two matches over a weekend, three times a year, in Nottingham. We stay over in disabled rooms and have a team meal together. We are fundraising to help players and their supporters cover the costs of hotels and travel to matches and training. We train at Ormiston Academy, Tudor Road, Sudbury, CO10 1NW, once a month on a Wednesday, from 5-7pm or 6 – 8pm. See our Facebook page for latest training dates. We would like to set up more training sessions in Cambridge and other parts of East Anglia but need more players to make them successful. We can loan basketball wheelchairs on a short term basis.
