3 Today’s Agenda 1.Review the Next Steps as defined in the Minutes 2.Select a limited number of use cases for detailed analysis 3.Assign teams to begin developing high- level workflows

4 Next Step–Begin Standards Development Process http://www.buildingsmart.com/idmmvd_how_do_they_provide_solutions_user_ requirements http://www.buildingsmart.com/idmmvd_how_do_they_provide_solutions_user_ requirements Next Step–Begin Standards Development Process http://www.buildingsmart.com/idmmvd_how_do_they_provide_solutions_user_ requirements http://www.buildingsmart.com/idmmvd_how_do_they_provide_solutions_user_ requirements Define 3-4 macro-level use cases of potential BIM-GIS interaction. For each macro-level use case, map out the high-level workflows based on best practices. Prepare an Information Delivery Manual (IDM) for each macro-level use case in the form of process maps using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). http://www.iai.no/idm/ (IDM & BPMN Info Provided in Upcoming Meeting and zip file) http://www.iai.no/idm/ Others..... – Document the Exchange Requirements (ERs) listed in the IDMs – Create Model View Definitions (MVDs) documenting the technical definitions of the exchange requirements for software developers. – Develop validation programs to certify that commercial software products meet the requirements. – Perform certifications on commercial software products.
