3 Despite a pro-life standpoint on abortion, many Conservatives have the mindset that criminals have made their choice on how they choose to live when they committed the crime. Therefore, they take away the choice of a second chance for some.

4 Issue #2 Prayer should be optional in public schools.

5 Conservatives tend to be more religious and favor church and state interactions.

6 Issue #3 Increase military spending in order to counter terrorism efforts in the Middle East.

7 Military power tends to be a strong point in Conservative hands.

8 Issue #4 Gay marriage should be made legal in the United States.

9 Liberal power stands for change or improvement in the rights and well-being of the people.

10 Issue #5 Invest in “green technology”.

11 Liberal ideals often enforce environmental protection; in this case finding safer forms of energy.

12 Issue #6 I am in support of the government creating health and safety regulations.

13 Liberals fight for consumer protection.

14 Issue #7 Give power to the local governments.

15 The conservative standpoint on large government positions is that it can become a threat if it is too large.

16 Issue #8 Government sponsored programs are essential for our nation.

17 Increased federal services in the government are part of the liberal standpoint.

18 Issue #9 I support gun control.

19 The government should be seen in charge of handling problems like this.

20 Issue #10 Trim the size of federal government in order to give smaller governments more power.

21 Less government involvement is supported by conservative viewpoint.

22 Issue #11 The government is the protector of rights, not the giver. In this case, immigrants must be given such equal opportunities.

23 The protection of the rights of all humans is supported through the liberal party.

24 Issue #12 A free market and the personal acquisition of property by individuals.
