JOHN 15:1-4 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

BIG QUESTIONS WHAT IS GOD’S WILL FOR MY LIFE?

EPHESIANS 5:17 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

JAMES 4:15 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

TWO HUGE GOALS: 1. To live like Jesus.

HEBREWS 13:20-21 20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

ACTS 4:13 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

TWO HUGE GOALS: 2. To be with Jesus.

PRACTICAL WAYS TO KNOW: 1. Read God’s Word.

II CORINTHIANS 6:14-15 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

PRACTICAL WAYS TO KNOW: 2. Listen to God’s people.

PRACTICAL WAYS TO KNOW: 3. Have the mind of Christ.

ROMANS 12:2 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I JOHN 2:17 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

JOHN 15:1-4 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes [a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.a
