4 Motor Skills The term “motor” refers to a muscle or group of muscles. The term “skills” refer to repeatable actions or movements. Motor skills are: Learned patterns of muscle movements, timing, and actions. Your mind/body unit can repeat exact movement if repeatedly practiced enough times correctly. Incorrect practice or movements are difficult to undo since they become incorrect learned patterns. (Current estimates range from (50:1 to as high as 500:1) **Motor Skills are a type of a “DRILL”**
