2. The environmental protection association has declared to be against the dam being built. Were against it by:Thomas Powell

3. Reason #1 Making a dam would destroy nearby houses,marshes,and beaches. doing this may cause some locals to loose their homes and become homeless.

4. Reason #2 A rare species of hawk,the cooper hawks nest near the dam area,building a dam would flood the habitats causing all cooper hawks to disappear from the area. You might also be killing other animal species.

5. Reason #3 If the locals just conserved energy their would be no need for a dam. Some ways of conserving energy are:take a shower not a bath,listen to the radio not the tv.These simple things can save a species or even your own house.

6. Reason #5 By building a dam we will be putting more sand and mud and silt into the water causing the water quality to be affected negatively. This source of water is important in the area.

7. Reason #6 We do agree that doing this will bring in more taxes but they would also have to upgrade the water sewers,taking a lot of money. They would also have to repair and build larger roads also taking a chunk out of their budget. Doing this also would add a lot of problems with land owners and would add a lot of responsibility's.

8. Reason #7 If you were to build a dam you would be destroying nearby natural and beautiful land. Animals need fresh greens to live but they would be deprived from the nearby land.

9. Reason #8 By building a dam you will be taking resort homes and cottages out doing this might cause a riot. You would need to hire a lot of riot officers to secure the towns and your safty.

10. Reason #9 By building a dam you will also have lots of workers rushing to work filling the roads with traffic also making workers late causing you to lose even more money.
