3 Cost of Post Secondary Education in the Trade & Technology Programs Typical Tuition Costs for most Programs range from $4000.00 to $6000.00

4 New Ways To Graduate FACT: 80% of students do not attend University 80% of students do not attend University 70% of careers require Post-Secondary Education or Training 70% of careers require Post-Secondary Education or Training Students can access Post Secondary programs while still in High School Students can access Post Secondary programs while still in High School

5 WHO CAN APPLY ? Any Secondary Student in Grades 11 & 12 Any Secondary Student in Grades 11 & 12 Students will attend the school where the program is offered for the period covered by the course Students will attend the school where the program is offered for the period covered by the course Students will use these credits to assist in Graduation – known as “ Dual Credits” Students will use these credits to assist in Graduation – known as “ Dual Credits”

7 Types of Industry Training Authority Programs (Apprenticeships) ACE-IT ( Accelerated Credit Enrolment) ACE-IT ( Accelerated Credit Enrolment) –Students earn credits towards Graduation and completion of an ITA Program –This will involve typically completing Level 1 theory and a Work Experience component –Students are registered as “Trainees” with the Industry Training Authority ( ITA)

Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) –Designed for High School Students over the age of 15, who have or are ready to look for a job (full or part-time) in a trade –Students may earn up to 16 Graduation credits for the Paid work as well as credit towards the completion of the On-The-Job training component of the ITA program. –Students may qualify for the $1000.00 scholarship
