High Fever High fever is when you get nauseous and you start to get aches and pains.

joint and muscle pain ●joints ache so bad that you can’t move ●muscles will ache so you can’t move at all

Back Ache Your muscle gets irritated and starts to hurt.

Abdominal Pain ●hurts to eat/drink ●feel like you’re going to vomit

Dull rash Dull rash is a good amount of spots on different parts of your body.

Loss of appetite ●don’t feel like eating anything ●You feel like you are full but you actually your stomach wants food.

How many people got Typhus? ●about 9 million people got typhus ●currently 400 cases a year.

Rate of survival for Typhus ●Rate of survival is not very high about 10- 60%

Why Typhus had a bad effect/what was the effect? Typhus had a worse effect because the people were not immune to it.

How does Typhus spread/How fast Typhus spread? Typhus is spread from contaminated food and water, and head lice that have been infected by a human. Spreads very fast.

How is Typhus cured Typhus is cured by antibiotics and vaccines in foreign countries.

Vaccines? There is a vaccine for typhus.

What did we learn about this disease from past to present ? In the past typhus affected many people in a dramatic way because they had no clean water or food and more spread of lice. We now have clean water and better hygiene so the effect isn't as dramatic.
