Mike Mazzalongo What Does God Want From You?

teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:20

Reasons Why We Should Obey The Word is More Accurate than Signs or Wonders

“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them, - Deut. 13:1-2

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the L ORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the L ORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. - Deut. 13:3

You shall follow the L ORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. - Deut. 13:4

But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from among you. - Deut. 13:5

Reasons Why We Should Obey The Word Must Prevail over Peer Pressure

If your brother, your mother’s son, or your son or daughter, or the wife you cherish, or your friend who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’ (whom neither you nor your fathers have known, - Deut. 13:6

of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end), you shall not yield to him or listen to him; and your eye shall not pity him, nor shall you spare or conceal him. - Deut. 13:7-8

But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. So you shall stone him to death because he has sought to seduce you from the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. - Deut. 13:9-10

Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such a wicked thing among you. - Deut. 13:11

I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. - John 12:46-48

Reasons Why We Should Obey The Word is More Sure than Human Movements or Causes

If you hear in one of your cities, which the Lord your God is giving you to live in, anyone saying that some worthless men have gone out from among you and have seduced the inhabitants of their city, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods’ (whom you have not known), - Deut. 13:12-13

then you shall investigate and search out and inquire thoroughly. If it is true and the matter established that this abomination has been done among you, - Deut. 13:14

you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it and all that is in it and its cattle with the edge of the sword. - Deut. 13:15

you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it aThen you shall gather all its booty into the middle of its open square and burn the city and all its booty with fire as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God; and it shall be a ruin forever. It shall never be rebuilt.nd all that is in it and its cattle with the edge of the sword. - Deut. 13:16

if you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, keeping all His commandments which I am commanding you today, and doing what is right in the sight of the Lord your God. - Deut. 13:18

You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. - Deut. 4:2

So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ - Deut. 4:6

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him? Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today? - Deut. 4:7-8

Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. - Deut. 6:4-6

You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. - Deut. 6:7

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. - Deut. 6:8-9

For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. - Deut. 7:6

All the commandments that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your forefathers. - Deut. 8:1
