Fermilab, RRCAT and BARC will collaborate on all aspects of this project including installation and commission of HTS-2 at Fermilab and RRCAT.

Indian Strategy Annex I provides framework for Indian participation in R&D and construction phases Current focus is on defining R&D deliverables, under assumption these will be aligned with construction deliverables  IIFC is jointly working to retire all the critical PIP-II R&D by CY2018. Joint DAE-DOE review at end of R&D phase to provide go ahead for construction deliverables.  Indian Institutions to establish infrastructure and industry Team integration: Six Indian engineers are coming to Fermilab this summer for 2+ year residencies 27

Overall R&D Schedule

CERN Strategy The DOE and CERN are negotiating a number of protocols to cover US participation in LHC upgrades and European participation in the US neutrino program  We don’t know what is in these protocols as they have not been agreed to and signed yet  CERN represents all of Europe, not just CERN as an institution We have had discussions with CERN technical management on priorities for a CERN in-kind contribution  Highest priority items are LB650 CMs and MI rf sources  We are assuming if this comes to pass that CERN would partner with Orsay on LB650 We will know more in the summer when protocols should be finalized. 3/9-10/2015S. Mishra P2MAC 29

Summary International Collaboration is vital for the time execution of the PIP-II. With India Fermilab is working on R&D topics that spans the whole SRF accelerator. These R&D should conclude by the end of CY18. We are also initiating some work on a few projects for the Phase I of Annex I consistent with our R&D and PIP-II plans. At the conclusion of these R&D in CY18, Fermilab, DOE and DAE will decided on the final deliverable table from DAE  DOE for PIP-II by 2023. Fermilab and DOE are working to develop a R&D program with CERN
