Role of Structures TC Structure TC main function is to support the SDM Our on-going objective should be to do this better every year Choose qualified representatives Structure TC should take more active role in promoting Structures Research and Development Conference related activities (workshops, special sessions, etc.) Get involved outside of AIAA, call on Structure TC members if you need assistance. Check the Structures TC web page for updates Decide how you want to/can contribute and follow through! ANY Suggestions HOW we can IMPROVE this Function ?

What moves you from Friend to Member What moves you from Member to Friend From Friend to Member Active participation in TC Attending Meetings Reviewing Papers for SDM Chairing Sessions for SDM Liaison to other TC’s Let me know you want to move up to Friend From Member to Friend None to little participation in TC Not attending meetings, review SDM papers, etc. Extended time as a Member Encourage participation by rotating members off after 2-4 years, allow others to be members AIAA sets limit of approximately 35 Members. You can return to Member status after some time as “Friend”

10. Fall Meeting Suggestions Do we want a Face-to-Face Fall Meeting OR Do we want 1-2 Sametime/Telecons? Pros/Cons for each Telecon/Sametime Computer hook-up may allow more to attend and participate Could do Two 3-4 hour Sametime events (Aug and then in Nov or so) if desired Face-to-face allows time to socialize. Could change focus of meeting Presentations (either at computer or face-to-face opt.) VOTE
