3 What is it ? GSM Gateway enabling interconnection of VoIP & PSTN network with mobile networks Assures international transport of voice channels via an Internet connection Support for 30 GSM channels Integrated VoIP gateway

5 Building blocks It starts with a rack-chase - dimension 7U You add the mandatory cards (source and processor) on the front-side of Topex multiAccess rack on the dedicated positions (1 and 3); You have another two special positions: ●A VoIP or 2E1 card into the position between the source and processor cards (slot no.2); ●In case a VoIP card is mounted in slot no.2, the E1 card will be added in the slot no.4 All the cards are hot-pluggable – no need for restart when replacing 1 – Power supply card 2 – VoIP or E1 card 3 – PG cards

6 Card components The other Topex multiAccess front-side cards can be: GSM cards with 2 modules on each board UMTS cards with 2 modules on each board CDMA cards with 2 modules on each board

7 VoIP cards Topex multiAccess can perform both SIPv2 and H323v4 signaling VoIP cards scale 8/16/30/60 RTP channels Topex multiAccess can perform transcoding functions Its DSP “speak” G.711 A and μ law, G.723 and G.729 Topex multiAccess can transmit T.38 Fax over IP

8 Fixed-line cards ISDN-PRI signaling, DSS1, Q.931 SS7 signaling – MTP1, MTP2, MTP3 and ISUP CAS R2, CAS R1.5, CAS DTMF Custom signaling for special applications
