2. ISO 15489 revision The text of the ISO 15489 Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) has been approved by the required ISO member state majority vote, and has now been sent for ratification. Thereafter member states will individually adopt the text - in the BSI case as BS ISO 15489 2016. This will replace Part 1 of the original standard. The BSI Records and Archives committee are reviewing how the standard will be promoted and considering options around guidance and potential publications. They are meeting at the beginning of April to take this forward.forward
