13 A description of how the school and/or program promotes creativity in the classroom for both teachers and students. Manor New Technology High School promotes creativity with their staff and students. They ask their staff to individualize their curriculum, which brings together the strength of modern technology, community partnerships, problem solving, interdisciplinary instruction, and global perspectives in a student-centered, collaborative, project-based community. The rubric-based grading system allows the teachers to push students to handle their assignments with creativity, critical-thinking and innovation. By not guiding the students through their assignments, they force the students to use their best judgments on how to attack the assignments. The outcome-based curriculum gives them their assignments, but they are graded on their results and not just the path taken to achieve those results.
