2. FIRST STEPS: Go to www.careersoft.co.uk/sign-in www.careersoft.co.uk/sign-in Enter access code (see Mrs Coetzee for access code) Take a note of this access code in a safe place Confirm use by Campbell College Belfast Click on Job Explorer Database Select

3. ACTIVITY 1 Start with the ‘Suits me’ Quiz. Select the ‘Big Quiz’ and answer all questions. Browse JED’s job suggestions and see what might appeal to you.

4. ACTIVITY 2 Select ‘Subject Search’ Choose the subjects that you particularly enjoy (do not choose too many at once otherwise you may not get many suggestions). Browse the job suggestions. These might be rated up to if they fit with your answers to the ‘Suits Me’ quiz.

5. ACTIVITY 3 Browse ‘Case Studies’, ‘Job Groups’ and ‘Top Ten’ to browse job suggestions. These may also be rated up to if they fit with your answers to the ‘Suits Me’ quiz.

6. ACTIVITY 4 – WORK BOOK Go to ‘My JED record’. Complete the first two pages of your workbook – you can use the ideas from your research so far, and the suggestions in ‘My JED record’. The most useful sections are: – My Quiz Answers – My Job Suggestions

7. ACTIVITY 5 – WORK BOOK Go to ‘Search Jobs’. Complete the last two pages of your workbook – a job research task on two jobs that interest you most. Use the sidebar to help you find all the information you need.

8. SAVING AND ACCESSING YOUR WORK To save your work go to ‘My JED record’ Click on Click ‘Create’ Select ‘Save as’ Save as ‘JedRecordYOURNAME’ You can save to your C2K account, but you will need to save to a pen drive to access these records at home. Try saving in both places.

9. SAVING AND ACCESSING YOUR WORK To access your previous records next time you log in go to ‘My JED record’ Click on Click ‘Browse’ Select your record from where you saved it Click ‘Open’ Click ‘OK’ Click ‘Yes’ You are now ready to continue your work
