6 SUCCESS MEASURES Hired the Nurse Aide Program Coordinator Obtained State approval for the new Nurse Aide Certificate Program Held multiple information sessions at area high schools and Rowan-Cabarrus 14 Nurse Aide students entered the pathway in 2016 Students completed NAS 101 and will take the state exam on June 9 & 10, 2016 18 students will begin the Nurse Aide Pathway in Fall 2016 Employer engagement with the Health Symposia Engagement with the local school districts

8 FUTURE PLANS Continue to offer the Nurse Aide Pathway through Career and College Promise Develop additional Health Science to meet the needs of the local employers Continued recruitment and advising to increase the number of qualified applicants Annual Health Symposium with health care providers and partners

9 LESSONS LEARNED Great effort to get all partners together Having the right partners on board increases knowledge and collaboration between industry and education Approval from DHSR takes longer than you think
