1. Investigative Science Unit 3: A Paper Towel Testing Lab Questions to consider: Should cost be a factor? Does size of a “sheet” matter? Should number of sheets per roll matter in cost? Is 1-ply less absorbent than 2 or 3-ply? Should towels be measured in mL absorbed per inch 2 ? What is “creping” and “embossing” and how could they affect absorbency?

6.  Each team member will be creating his/her own formal lab report.  Different than lab reports to-date? YES!  We have created informal lab reports for the team based on filling in a worksheet provided by Mrs. Vandy so far this term.  Now, the team works together to fill in the informal lab report worksheet, but each member must write their own formal lab report for credit!  American Psychological Association (APA) is the reporting style we will use.

7. Title Page: includes the title, the name of the person authorizing the report, the name of the author(s), the name and address of the institution or company issuing the report, and the date. Body  Introduction  Summary or Background  Methods/Procedures  Results  Discussion of results  Conclusions  Recommendations References Attachments or Appendices
