3 Visual Ranking Tool  Help your students identify and refine criteria as they assign rankings to a list.  This tool can also help students to better organize ideas, debate differences, and reach a consensus.

7 Time to Explore  Go back to the main page for the visual ranking tool.  You will have approximately 15 min to do the following…..  Click on Project Examples and take a look at some of the unit plans and project ideas.  Click on Instructional Strategies, take a moment and explore the thoughts and advice.

8 Create an Intel Account  Please follow the directions on the handout Intel Thinking Tools Directions Brief to create an account. Be sure to save your username and password.

9 Seeing Reason Tool  Will help students understand the cause-and-effect relationships of complex systems.  This tool allows the creation of visual maps that organize ideas and build collaborative reasoning skills.

14 Showing Evidence Tool  Teach students how to use a visual framework to construct a well- reasoned argument and prove their case with credible evidence.

15 - The tool provides a visual framework to make claims, identify evidence, evaluate the quality of that evidence, explain how the evidence supports or weakens claims, and reach conclusions based on the evidence. - Students may work on their claims and evidence at home or at school, and can be paired with another team to review their ideas.
