1 A Guide To Revision For the Final Year 11 Examination

2 Introduction I have given you the resource booklet that you will use in your exam, there are a few tasks that you must do over the holidays. We are nearly there, lets have a big push now so we are well prepared for the exam. 3 Revision Process 1.The first thing you need to do is underline and define any words in the resource book that you do not understand. 2.Answer all the questions on the following slides. 3. Look at the links to other websites (last slide), these will be helpful.

4 Questions For Year 11 Pre-released Booklet 1.Resource 1 – if 2750 calories per person per day are available why do still 842 million people in the world go undernourished? 2.Why is there no data available for some countries? 3.Resource 2 – describe the distribution of world hunger around the world 4.Resource 3a – describe the range of data as shown in the table. 5.Resource 3b – describe and explain the relationship between the two sets of data shown on the graph. 6.Resource 4 – to what extent are the causes of hunger as shown in resource 4 due to human and / or physical causes. 7.Resource 5 and 6 - what does poverty mean to people living in our country and what does it mean to Simeon. 8.Resource 5 and 6 – what could/should Simeon do to improve his quality of life? 9.Resource 7 – Why are children’s diet in LEDCs dominated by cereals and not proteins? 10.Resource 8 - Describe the pattern of distribution of obesity around the world.
