NEXT Your travels in the guild of adventurers called “The Beckoning Blades” proceeds you. I have heard so much of your successes that I would like to hire you to retrieve a precious relic for me from the goblin lair and forge, Murotogh. Bring me the Goblin Clever of Murotogh and I will cover you with fine rubies from the east. If you fail, then the relic may be lost forever! Meet me in the city of Kinden at the antiquities shop to receive your payment. Happy hunting! Signed, Lotus of Peke Dealer of ancient relics Listen, I bring you grave news! The Krytok Orcs have broken into my sanctum and have stolen an Orc-ish text on lighting. With it, I fear the Orcs may launch a large offensive on us all. Your guild of adventurers, “The Beckoning Blades” are masters of retrieving valuables. These Orcs have retreated to the goblin forge & lair, Murotogh. Please retrieve this text for me and I will grant you magical enhancements over any weapon you choose. Please act quickly! Each player starts with health tokens. When all tokens are lost, the player falls unconscious. Players can talk to each other at any time. NOTE: You can make your character any alignment, any race, with any weapons & skill sets. Role play to your heart’s content! Have fun! Warrior Moves 1 space. Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 8 & up Attacks up to 2 areas away Starts with 3 health tokens Has permanent Animal Pelt Cleric Moves 1 space Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 9 & up Attacks up to 2 areas away Starts with 2 health tokens Can cast “Group Healing Blessing” granting all players 1 health token up to 3 times per game Has permanent Holy Water Mage Moves 1 space Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 6 & up Attacks up to 3 areas away Starts with 2 health tokens. Casts spells striking up to 2 targets at once Has permanent Torch Rogue Moves up to 2 spaces Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 7 & up Attacks up to 3 areas away Starts with 2 health tokens Has permanent Lock Pick Kit 1. Rope - Allows falling saving rolls (player secures rope to anchor). If you fall & have a rope, you lose 1 health token instead of losing your life; Allows for rescue (ropes can be tied to other players to pull them back to safety if they fall). 2. Holy Water - Used to cure paralysis, possession, and unholy actions. 3. Lock Pick Kit - Automatically pick locks; Allows player to find and disarm traps. The player must first announce when looking for traps, then the player gets one attempt to roll doubles with the game dice to find & disarm trap. If the player fails to disarm an existing trap, the effects of the trap occurs to the player. 4. Empty Bag - Used to store up to 3 food items for later healing use. 5. Torch - Automatically removes ensnarement & entanglement traps/spells. 6. Animal Pelt - Automatically absorbs and removes poisons & toxins. Each player chooses 2 Backpack items for your character to have before the game starts. These items can be given or traded to others, and can be found during gameplay. Monsters always attack first if the player is within range of the attack. Each monster gets 1 attack per turn. Players must roll for the monster’s attack. The monster’s battle information will be shown during gameplay. Monsters do not move around the area. When all monsters are defeated in an area/room, the area/room remains clear of monsters for the rest of the game. Each turn, the player can do only one of the following: – Move – Player cannot move diagonally. Players cannot move thru walls, solid surfaces, or monsters. Players can only move thru open spaces, other players, and unlocked or kicked-in doors. Players must roll doubles to kick-in a door. – Attack – Player cannot attack diagonally. Game spaces must be counted left, right, up, & down to determine if you can reach the target/monster. When the attacking player rolls the target number (or higher) & the roll is “doubles”, it is an instant slaying of the target monster. Every monster the player defeats directly or thru helping another player, the player gains 1 coin and one chance to roll the dice to get a 12. If a roll of 12 is obtained, player gets a special item. Roll to determine the special item. – Search, Open, Heal, or Give – Click the magnifying glass to search. The 1 st player to search the space gains the rewards or penalties of the space. Click the appropriate in game symbol to open/use. Announce to the players when you are healing or giving something to another player. Players must be in the same or adjacent game space to give items. Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 6 & up. Attacks up to 3 areas away. Starts with 2 health tokens. Can cast spells striking up to 2 targets at once. Has permanent Torch. Cleric – Moves 1 space. Hits & is-Hurt on dice rolls: 9 & up. Attacks up to 2 areas away. Starts with 2 health tokens. Can cast “Group Healing Blessing” granting all players 1 health token up to 3 times per game. Has Holy Water. Each player starts with health tokens. When all tokens are lost, the player falls unconscious. Star – Upon entering a new room, area, or pathway, the player must end their movement on the star game space. Once on the game space, click this symbol and the room contents will be revealed to the players. Sometimes the star reveals monsters. If the players defeat all the monsters, click the star again to remove all defeated monsters from the area. Magnifying Glass – When you are on this area and it is your next turn, click this symbol to reveal what your character sees. If the magnifying glass reveals a challenge and the challenge has been won, click the magnifying glass again to remove the challenge from the area. NOTE: Some challenges are designed to stay in the area. Lock – This symbol means that the door or chest is locked. When the player has a Lock Pick Kit or has kicked-in the lock, click on this symbol to show the result. This game will host other in-game symbols that are to be clicked that are unique to the story line. When required roll two game dice to determine the special item. 2. Dream Shield - Grants -1 to is-Hurt dice rolls. 3. Pellet Shield - Blocks the effects of bladed or arrow traps. 4. Growth Potion - Lasts 20 game spaces; Player avoids all falling traps. Discard after use. 5. Shrink Potion - Lasts 20 game spaces; Player avoids all bladed or arrow traps. Discard after use. 6. Healing Potion - Restores full health lost. Discard after use. 7. Apple - Restores 1 health token. Discard after use. 8. Rune Stone – Grants magical protection & saves 1 health token of player. Discard after use. 9. Phoenix Egg – Restores full health when player falls unconscious. Discard after use. 10. Speed Potion – Lasts 20 game spaces; Player can move 1 extra game space. Discard after use. 11. Small Pouch – Player receives 3 coins. 12. Crystal Orb – When at door, allows player to “see” (in game Star symbol) what is in the next room without entering. Roll odds each space to avoid fall. Else, you perish. As you sift thru dry bones, your fingers find a Backpack item. Roll 1 die to discover which. You find a small hidden pouch containing a shiny coin. Upon the dusty ledge sit small broken shoes with a unique royal crest. To pass, you must give tribute to the dead goblin king! By arranging the candles in a specific pattern, you have activated a portal. It gives no sign of where it leads. Do you go thru the portal? You grab a Goblin Pellet Shield from the shrine. Blocks the effects of bladed or arrow traps! You open a barrel and a wretched odor fills your lungs. It’s a foul mixture. The same scale appears here like at the shrine. Roll 7-12 each space to avoid fall. Else, you perish. Opening a cabinet reveals to you a Growth Potion. Searching the table, you find a Shrink Potion. This Orc-ish tome explains how to use lightning. Mages can use & gain +1 to attack rolls. This goblin was badly tortured. You find a single Healing Potion among boiling bottles. I have sent the princess away! You will never find her now! This timber ogre has broken its bonds and has slain its captors. Intruders! Stop them! No one gets thru! Protect the barrels! Madam Vahla will have their heads! You’re too late! The goop explodes & covers your body. You are paralyzed and can’t breathe! Lose 1 health token every turn. Roll evens each space to avoid injury. Else, lose 1 health token. These barrels have been magically sealed. There is no way to open this door from this side. Burning among the embers are broken goblin bones. There is also an unharmed Backpack item. Roll 1 die to discover which. You find 3 coins in the orc’s boot. Timber Ogre Attacks up to 4 areas away. Has 4 health tokens. Madam Vahla Attacks up to 4 areas away. Attacks 2 targets Has 3 health tokens. Zog Attacks up to 3 areas away Has 3 health tokens. Start Here You sprung an arrow trap! Lose 1 health token. You sprung an entanglement trap! You cannot move and can only be freed by fire. Viper Attacks up to 1 area away. Has 1 health token. You claim a treasure chest! It contains 10 coins, 4 rune stones, & 4 Phoenix Eggs. This door is open. You find a rune stone. As you lift it, the corpse releases toxic gas. You lose 1 health token! You found the Murotogh Goblin Clever. Gain +1 to attack rolls when used.
