7. Twitter is a website that allows users to “follow” any other twitter account. Users following other people will receive any “tweets” that the followee sends. Tweets are limited to 140 characters so tweets are usually just used as a means of announcing events or gatherings. Popular corporations have been known to create twitters so they can announce anything having to do with their product, such as linking to a good review or preview.
