2 What is the Global Compact? Overview The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary international corporate citizenship network initiated to advance responsible corporate citizenship and universal social and environmental principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment and anti- corruption. 4 The Compact commits to Ten Principles endorsed by our CEO and Management Committee. HUMAN RIGHTS Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; andPrinciple 1 Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.Principle 2: LABOR Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;Principle 3 Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor;Principle 4 Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labor; andPrinciple 5 Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.Principle 6 ENVIRONMENT Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;Principle 7 Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; andPrinciple 8 Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.Principle 9 ANTI-CORRUPTION Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.Principle 10 Procurian - Confidential and Proprietary Information Data gathered from www.unglobalcompact.org 4

5 Companies must communicate annually with stakeholders on how they live up to their commitment The overall format is flexible, but should be fully integrated in the participant’s main medium of stakeholder communications The COP can be created as a stand-alone document, if the participant does not publish a formal Annual report or CSR The COP can be written to meet 3 different levels of participation based upon the integration of the principles and contribution to broader UN goals When joining the Global Compact, companies make a commitment to issue an annual Communication on Progress (COP) Procurian - Confidential and Proprietary Information Data gathered from www.unglobalcompact.org 5

9 Extract: Human Rights example from a UNCG Participant that achieved the Active Level Example – Assessment, Policy and Goals Lubeco's goal is to influence that our employees and all our business partners respect the Universal Declaration of Human rights and environmental protection. Based on our commitment we have set up a code of conduct, published on our website, to make our position clear for all our suppliers, employees and partners. Our Code of Conduct complies with the ISO 26000 standards and other international conventions. 10 Extract: Anti-Corruption example from a UNCG Participant that achieved the Active Level Example – Measurement of Outcomes Laxmi Electronics Moulds & Precision Engg Pvt Ltd has not been involved in any legal cases, rulings or other events related to corruption and bribery. Laxmi Electronics Moulds & Precision Engg Pvt Ltd has an external audit company to do four internal audits every year and the report directly submitted to the Managing Director. Our books and accounts are subjected to statutory external audit annually. These audits are used as one of the methods of identifying any suspicious payments which could be related to bribery or corrupt behavior.
