1 Introducing Adaptive 3D Control for Sigma Air Manager™

2 “Specifications subject to change without notice”© 2011 Kaeser Compressors, Inc., USA / V1.0 / www.kaeser.com What is “3D Control”? 3D Control constantly monitors energy expenditure associated with: 1.Control losses 2.Switching losses 3.Pressure flexibility 3D Control adapts to the system demands proactively: 1.Calculates system buffer volume 2.Monitors the rate of change in pressure 3.No longer reacts at predetermined intervals, but predicts when to turn on additional compressors 2

3 “Specifications subject to change without notice”© 2011 Kaeser Compressors, Inc., USA / V1.0 / www.kaeser.com Continuous Monitoring Satisfy demand Lower pressure to save energy Increase load-time to decrease switching losses Equalizes compressor usage to decrease maintenance costs Choose correct compressor size to match demand Current pressure Current demandResponse times Remaining idle times 3

13 “Specifications subject to change without notice”© 2011 Kaeser Compressors, Inc., USA / V1.0 / www.kaeser.com Updating the Existing SAM The adaptive 3D Control can be updated for any Sigma Air Manager already having V.23 software installed All Sigma Control™ compressors must be updated to the latest software version to work with 3D Control Sigma Control 2™ compressors can only work with 3D Control The material number of the software upgrade is AN777620 and the fees associated with this new software version can be found on the SAM price list Only the software has changed Hardware and material numbers will remain the same A sticker will be attached to the front of the SAM indicating “Kaeser Efficiency 3D Control” Updates must be reported to KAESER and recorded in the equipment master data. 13
