JUSTIFICATION The project expects to develop within the school community an integrating attitude that brings about social equality and the active involvement of any kind of people regardless of their origin, race, sex, religion or physical disability. This would be achieved through games, physical activities and sports in general, so that we can take advantage of their play- oriented and integrating nature, as well as their great impact in the mass media. To reach a more global concept of Europe, getting to know the different cultures among different civilizations as a starting point. ATMOSPHERE OF RESPECT AND TOLERANCEATMOSPHERE OF RESPECT AND TOLERANCE. To develop an atmosphere of respect and tolerance towards social, cultural and physical inequality within the school community and therefore, making easier integrating policies. DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL ABILITIES (ENGLISH AND MOVEMENT).DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL ABILITIES (ENGLISH AND MOVEMENT). To foster the self discovery and development of inherent individual abilities by giving significance to those of our neighbours. ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF STUDENTSACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF STUDENTS. To take advantage of the socializing and integrating potential that physical activity has in itself to guarantee the active involvement of students and minimizing inequality. To create and provide the schools with a bank of useful resources with specific activities to deal with integration related to gender, mental and physical or cultural disability so that it will enable to share all different experiences among schools. COOPERATION WITH LOCAL INSTITUTIONSCOOPERATION WITH LOCAL INSTITUTIONS. To open up schools to work and cooperate with local institutions which focus their efforts on the framework of integration.

Share and discuss the conclusions. Compare schools situation and needs. Set new project activities based on the research results. 1. Integration Research. Design and develop a questionnaire for students, families and staff to set the real situation of integration at school. Draw conclusions and figures. Integration problems of the school in RopažiMain, Latvia. Reasons that could influence integration in a class. School of Tavira, Portugal

Record a video where students introduce their school and town. Exchange them and work with them in the English lessons. 2. Teaching our traditional games. Students develop a handbook where they explain how to play their regional games. Exchange them. 3. Celebrating the Traditional Games European Day. Organize an event where all the different traditional games from partners are played. ACTIVITIES 3. Create and participate in a Facebook Project Group and School Project Blogs. Students and school staff.

6 INTEGRATION AND EQUALITY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION BY MEANS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, GAMES AND SPORT. STAGE 3. DISABILITY INTEGRATION 1. ADAPTIVE SPORTS P.E: lessons. Each school develops a P. E. lesson about ADAPTIVE SPORTS and display them during the meeting they host. All the sports will be in a handbook as a resource for the schools. 2. Sports event collaborating with local institutions. Organize and take part in a sports event in collaboration with institutions within the work frame of disability integration. 3. Exhibition about national handicapped sportsmen/women. Students work about some national handicapped sportsmen/women, make posters and exhibit them. ACTIVITIES

7 INTEGRATION AND EQUALITY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION BY MEANS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, GAMES AND SPORT. STAGE 4. GENDER EQUALITY 1. Creating a new Co-educative game. Students will collaborate to invent and develop a new game. This game has to be co-educative, both genders must participate and be useful at the same level. Games will be exchanged and played in P.E. lessons. 2. Local sportswomen interviews. Students will interview the best ranked sportswomen from the school or town. Radio, papers… ACTIVITIES

8 INTEGRATION AND EQUALITY IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION BY MEANS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, GAMES AND SPORT. STAGE 5. CULTURE INTEGRATION 1. Games from other cultures. Students belonging to minority ethnic, religious or cultural groups will teach the others how to play their traditional games in P.E. lessons. 2. Lectures about integraton at school. Minority groups institutions will give lectures about integration at school events. ACTIVITIES
