2 My background: - Computer programming highschool on mainframe - Polytechnic Institute – master engineering in energy supply - 1993 – my own transportation company: Dacoda - 2001 – launch of Romanian 123cargo – BursaTransport - 2008 – my best year: 6.000 loaded trucks and 12.000 parcels distributed in Romania - 2011 – Dacoda sold for lack of management - Actual job: manage 123cargo My connection with freight exchange - Built my own software for Dacoda (in-house ERP) - My business offered me the knowledge of what a freight exchange has to offer - My programming skills helped me build the freight exchange BursaTransport and actually 123cargo: - Launched in April 2001 - Free of charge till 2004 - Acquired in 2008 by Wolters Kluwer Transport Service (WKTS) 2 Who am I and how did I get here

3 BursaTransport brand name has a clear meaning only in Romanian language BursaTransport is a Romanian transport community by the huge number of subscribers Bursa contains notorious pages for Romanians with no meaning for foreigners: Forum debates on all kind of Romanian subjects Online credit reports to evaluate the new Romanian clients Small adds, extra users, legal assistance Large number of prepaid services and automatic conciliation of the bank statements in database obliged Bursa for: Express countervalue of services in prepaid credits Implement a subscriber wallet with credits Selfservice of the subscriber from a list of services 123cargo: It is a full meaning international name It is developed for each foreign country in the local language (actual 14 foreign languages) All services are included in the company’s subscription, while Romanians are paying separated for them It represents a 2nd interface for the same database (BursaTransport is the 1st one) 3 Why AND ?

4 Forwarders: New suppliers for non current routes Cheaper suppliers Transport costs diminished by paying one way Carriers: To enlarge the number of customers To diminish the empty truck trips Shippers: Direct access to a freight exchange if they have occasional transport requests 4 Who needs a freight exchange?
