1. Job offer IT System & Software Specialist We are currently looking for an IT database administrator in order to respond to one key-account customer demand in Dubai. Job purpose To ensure that the company IT systems which require advanced skills like VMWare, Storage, Data Protectors, Exchange, Blackberry, CITRIX, Linux, Unix, are installed, monitored and operate effectively so as to minimize downtime to the business. To ensure all protocols relating to system security are carried out to maintain the integrity and availability of the network and the servers. This role is regional as it has to cover IT Systems in Datacenters (Dubai-DC, Riyadh-DC and Disaster Recovery-DC) and branches as well. Mission Your main missions will be: Responsible for the day to day operational effectiveness of Management Information Systems ensuring that systems operate and deliver the requirements expected by their respective business owners Anticipate the growing needs and propose migration plan to adequate technologies Ensure the efficient operation of IT platform and computing infrastructure through monitoring of servers’ performance and system applications ensuring optimal operating efficiency and minimizing downtime and disruption to the business and systems users Provide proactive support to the business through effective capacity planning and change management to implement new or upgraded systems Perform installation, configuration, administration and migration of systems. Install all new hardware and software for workstations servers and networks on a timely and efficient basis Respond in a timely manner to server, workstation and associated operating systems issues through the provision of troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution to ensure that problems are resolved and resolutions are suitably documented for future reference Oversee the security of software and servers including overseeing of user accounts and permissions, email accounts and anti-spam systems Manage all system backup and restore activities in accordance with prescribed the company IT protocols Select the right technologies and present scenarios with cost and implementation plan in order to support expansion and business needs Implementing Systems will require preparation of adequate plans and recommend input into action plan. Profil Graduate / diploma in Computer science - MCSA Microsoft Certification - CISCO Network qualifications (CCNA / CCNP) is desirable - VMWare qualification. Certification is desirable. MS Exchange - Storage technology - Unix, Linux 3-5 years experience in a system and software implementation environment. Area of knowledge: Good knowledge of special environments like VMWare, Storage, Data Protectors, Exchange, Blackberry, CITRIX, Linux, Unix Good knowledge of network and server applications, computer program language(s), Microsoft technology, technologies and suppliers. Experience of designing secured and scalable IT infrastructure supporting business needs and evolution High level of time management and planning is required to implement the new system requirements High level of stakeholder management is required, in order to determine business needs as well as negotiate down time of IT High level of technical vendor discussion is required at a local level. The position requires an adaptability to creatively and innovatively find solutions to problem and an excellent written and spoken communication skills.
