5  Testicles – two small glands that produce sperm  Penis- male genital organ carrying the duct for the transfer of sperm during copulation  Sperm cell- male reproductive cell

6  Produce female egg cells necessary for reproduction  Transport ova to site of fertilization  Produces female sex hormones that maintain reproductive cycles

7  Ovary – glands that produce eggs and hormones  Uterus (womb) – hollow, homes the developing fetus  Vagina- the muscular tube leading from the external genitals to the cervix of the uterus in women  Egg cell- Female reproductive cell

11  Removes solid, liquid, or gas waste from the body

12  Excretory or excrete means to remove  There are many organs in the body that remove waste from your body.  List as many organs as you can that remove waste… Think about solids, liquids, and waste. (Hint there are 4 major organs)

13 Function  Lungs remove a gas from our body that is a waste product of the mitochondria after it makes energy.  Can you name the gas?  Carbon Dioxide

14  Rectum is part of the digestive system Function  To remove solid waste from your body.  Feces is collected in the rectum until your body sends you the message to go. The feces is then pushed out of the anus.

17  Kidneys  blood enters the kidney and it filters out urea (nitrogen wastes), excess water, salts, acids which eventually travel out of the kidney as urine  Dark red, bean-shaped organ the size of your fist

18 Function  Stores urine until it is ready to be released through the urethra as urine
