2 Some verbs in Spanish are a little trickier when you conjugate them because they take on a spelling change in their stem. Look at the following forms of the verb “dormir”: yoduermo nosotros dormimos túduermes Ud./él/ella duerme Uds./ellos/ellas duermen Notice how the o changed to ue in all forms except for “nosotros”.

3 Let’s do some practice. What is the “tú” form of the verb “dormir”? duermes! That’s right… it’s cuentan! Let’s do a few more. What is the “ellos” form of the verb “contar”?

4 What is the “nosotros” form of the verb “volver”? volvemos! That’s right… it’s ruego! What is the “yo” form of the verb “rogar”?

5 What is the “ellos” form of the verb “volver”? vuelven! That’s right… it’s dormimos! What is the “nosotros” form of the verb “dormir”?
