www.enoport.com Selling story “ Vinhas Altas ” VINHO VERDE D.O.C PORTUGAL

www.enoport.com Vinhas Altas comes from the “Vinho Verde” wine region from the single estate of the Enoport Group in this area – “Quinta da Devesa”, Devesa Estate. The origins Enoport Single Estates in Portugal: Total of 500 ha of land

www.enoport.com «Quinta da Devesa», Devesa Single Estates, is a reference in the entire Vinho Verde region for the excellence of its 16 ha of vineyard carefully treated and being considered one of the best in the region due to its characteristics and respect for the surrounding environment. In 2006, it obtained the Silver Medal in the «Best Vineyards of the Region» competition promoted by the «Comissão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes» (CVRVV – Vinhos Verdes Region Viticulture Commission). Soils are litholic and humid and the vineyards have a sun exposure facing mainly east. The varietals planted are Azal, Arinto, Loureiro, Trajadura among others with an average age of 20 years old and the vineyard is planted in trellises. The winemaking process takes place in the traditional winery located in the wine estate. About “Quinta da Devesa”

www.enoport.com The “Vinho Verde” is unique in the world. A naturally light and fresh wine, produced in the Vinho Verde wine Region, in northwest Portugal, a coastal region geographically well placed for the production of excellent white wines and producer of blended unique wines. The Vinho Verde Region has celebrated in 2008 the centenary of its demarcation. The designation of Verde is related to the soil and climatic characteristics of the region, where the wines produced have a higher concentration of malic acid than is common to find in other regions of Portugal. The result is light wines, fresh and aromatic. About “Vinhos Verdes” wine region:

www.enoport.com For the production of Vinho Verde, Enoport owns the latest technology in conserving the best properties of the wine all year round. It’s called “dessulfitador”, an equipment that consists in freezing the must right after the harvest, and unfreeze it for each bottling, ensuring the preservation of the wine always with the same characteristics as must recently made. The consumer can then enjoy a wine at the early stage of its life cycle, fresh and with young aromas all year round. There are only two more companies in Portugal having the same equipment. 6 www.enoport.com Grapes varietals

www.enoport.com One of the Portuguese oldest indigenous varieties, it is spread to most wine regions given its adaptability to different soils and climates. Arinto, known also as Pedernã in Vinho Verde wine region, has very good acidity as one of its key features (giving good freshness to the wines) combined with structure and a velvety feel. Its aroma is relatively discreet, with mineral notes, green apples and lemons. Arinto is responsible for wines that evolve very well in bottle, acquiring elegance and complexity. ARINTO

www.enoport.com Grown mainly in the Vinho Verde wine region, “Loureiro” is a varietal with a long history and it is partly responsible in recent decades for the development of white vinho verde. Aromatically exuberant, there are those who consider it, alongside with the Muscat, the most fragrant of the Portuguese grapes, suggesting laurel, linden, acacia, orange and peach. Loureiro is a great example of the region typicality, also used in varietal wines. Its exceptional aromatic qualities have produced with other grapes in the region, some of the best white wines in Portugal. LOUREIRO

www.enoport.com Quality grape variety is one of the most recommended in the demarcated region of Vinhos Verdes. The grapes are very compact and medium-sized. It produces wines with pronounced aroma, delicate and tasty. It is common to blend Trajadura with Loureiro (a varietal of the same region and more aromatic), to obtain a better balanced wines.
