19  Participation open to all Kentucky farmers. o Farmers must complete participant agreement form.  Farmers deliver to food bank warehouse. o Delivery costs included in price caps.  KAFB negotiates all transactions and determines delivery location.

20  Farmer prepares a detailed invoice to include with produce delivery.  Food bank staff verify delivery and determine total weight of delivery.  Food bank staff sign invoice and forward to KAFB to process payment.  KAFB issues a check to farmer within 2 weeks.

21  Projected produce purchase budget: $550,000  Goals: o Number of producers: 250 Counties of origin: 60 o Average paid per producer: $2,200 o Pounds purchased: 3,000,000

23  Any edible agricultural product donated to nonprofit food programs.  Credit=10% of value.

24  Donor (farmer) determines value of donation. o Copy of retail receipt for comparable grade and quality. o If no previous sale, value determined by weekly regional produce auction prices or USDA prices.
