1.Maintains the shape of the eyeball. 2.Provides surface for attachment of eye muscles. 3.Protects delicate inner layers.

1.Compose of a lot blood vessel and melanosome. 2.Blood vessel provide micronutrient and oxygen to eyeball, remove rubbish. 3.Contains black pigment which absorbs light and reduces the reflection of light inside the eye.

1.Contains rods and cones. 2.Rods( 視桿 ) responsible for black and white vision. 3.Cones( 視錐 ) distinguish the colour vision.

1.Sharpest vision, most concentrated with cones. 2.Provide image and colour clearly.

1.No cones or rods. 2.Optic nerve out of eyeball.

1.Sclera extend to the eyeball front end. 2.Allows light to pass through. 3.Refracts light into eye.

1.Protects the cornea.

1.Iris centre have small hole. 2.Allows light to enter the eye.

1.Regulates the size of the pupil and hence the amount of light entering the eye. 2.Have cytochrome.

1.Transparent, elastic, biconvex lens. 2.Refracts and focuses light onto the retina. 3.Control light refract degree into the eyeball.

1.Hold lens in position.

1.Control ciliary muscle contract or relax to change the shape of the lens.

1.Full of aqueous humour. 2.Refracts light into the eye. 3.Maintains the convex shape of the cornea. 4.Supplies nutrients to the conjunctiva, cornea and lens.

1.Full of vitreous humour. 2.Refracts light into the eye. 3.Keeps the eyeball spherical in shape.

1.Transmits nerve impulses to the optic centre in the cerebral cortex.

1.Distant image is formed in front of the retina. 2.The lens of the eye is too convex. 3.The eyeball is too long. 4.Short-sighted defect can be corrected by wearing concave lenses.

1.Nearby image is formed behind the retina. 2.The lens of the eye is too concave. 3.The eyeball is too short. 4.Long-sighted defect can be corrected by wearing convex lenses.

1.One or more cones not enough or defected. 2.Can’t watch a part of/all colour. 3.Inheritance.
