So, why should I care? Comparing and contrasting Makes you pick out important details Helps you make decisions (ex. picking out a new video game) Can help you think through something before you do it Is something that everyone can do

Think about connections… Think about a time you saw a movie and read the same book… Imagine telling your parents what happened at school vs. what a teacher might say… Imagine reading in a Social Studies book about Denmark during WWII and how it might compare with Number the Stars.
