3.  Off-task-talking: When students are using inappropriate words for conversation, the students are to recite the classroom rules every morning, so that they know what is expected of them, which is predominantly, respect.  Classroom temperature: Make sure that the thermostat is set to benefit the students/teachers (It is difficult to focus in extreme cold and extreme heat.) Some suggestions are to open windows, use fans, or central air/heat.

4.  Students learn to adapt to different environments because they are eager to learn.  Setting the classroom in a nice color tone can eliminate certain behaviors.  Respect others’ space and allow them time to open-up.  Set the tone in the classroom to be positive (Provide a welcoming and open environment).  Allow yourself to be focused on what your goals are for learning.  These points helped me when I was an intern at an Elementary school.

5.  To avoid becoming distracted in a classroom setting, make sure that your mind is set on learning, and passing your grade. (Noise, both physically and mentally can be a great distraction.)  The classroom environment is what you, as a student, make it whether it is messy or neat.  Apply yourself to learning more than what you need to learn, because it benefits you in the future.  Always provide encouragement to others because it helps the mood of the classroom.  Find your own focal point in the classroom-meaning find a spot in the room that gives you positive energy and use it to focus your mind.
