Then, compare Amir’s description of Hassan and his son from the picture to Hassan’s description of his life and his son in his letter (page 216-217). In your Do Now section, labeled DAY 21, write what similarities and differences you see between these two descriptions of the same people. Use one quote from each passage in your answer. We shall discuss in eight minutes.

4 Read  DISCUSS: What past events does chapter 18 make sense of on pages 225-226?  Remember to post quotes/page number/context next to thematic ideas for this class on the board if you see any in today’s reading.  Also remember to note the page number on a quote card of any quote that could be useful in proving your topic for your essay.
