He Was Baptized Jesus was baptized to “fulfill all righteousness” Matthew 3:15 Jesus was immersed (buried in water) Matthew 3:16 - “went up straightway out of the water” Philip and the eunuch - Acts 8:38, 39 Baptism is a burial - Romans 6:4 The baptism of Jesus was not for remission of sins He had no sins to wash away or remit 1 Peter 2:22; Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21 He challenged the Jews to convict him of sin - no one could!
