2 Detailed Design of Subsystems System consists of four components: Transmitter(Tx) Receiver(Rx) Bluetooth Dongle GUI for programming Rx and Tx 2

4 Transmitter and Receiver Both have very similar architectures Composed primarily of Bluetooth chip RN-41, and microcontroller ATTINY84-20PU 4

5 Microcontroller ATTINY84-20PU 8-bit process 8k bytes flash memory Operating voltage 1.8 to 5.5V Low power consumption 300 µA at 1.8V 5

6 Bluetooth chip RN-41 Class 1 Bluetooth chip Bluetooth V 2.1 UART and USB connections Onboard antennae Low Power 30 mA connected 6

7 Testing Will test microcontroller to determine that the correct bits are sent Test each parameter that the microcontroller will encounter Test under all extremes (Ex. temp, voltage) Test Bluetooth transceiver using Bluetooth cards on a laptop 7
