7 RDT&E Infrastructure Division File: NAVAIR Brief7 RDT&E INFRASTRUCTURE DIV (Patuxent, Lake Hurtst, Orlando, China Lake, Pt Mugu) Provides management and oversight of the architecture, procurement, and processes used by the NAVAIR RDT&E community for information technology. Responsible to the 4.0/5.0 management and the NAVAIR CIO for all IT/IM within 4.0/5.0. Manages and operates all NAVAIR RDT&E Base Area Networks (BANs) providing cost-effective base-wide connectivity and access to DOD approved Wide Area Networks to the NAVAIR labs and ranges. Represents NAVAIR and the Navy on RDT&E related matters such as High Performance Computing (HPC) and virtual SYSCOM for RDT&E. Manages NAVAIR High Performance Computing sites. Provides operations, maintenance, upgrades and management for inter-facility RDT&E network infrastructure and planning. Provides budget structure and management support relevant to RDT&E networks.

8 Air Interoperability Branch Charter – 5.4.1.1 File: NAVAIR Brief8 The Air Interoperability Branch provides network communications capabilities, services and support to ensure a secure, responsive RDT&E infrastructure and operating environment for NAWCAD laboratories, programs and test events. The Branch provides the management and oversight of the architecture, security, processes and procedures used by the RDT&E community for data communications. The Branch operates the NAWCAD RDT&E Base Area Networks, providing cost effective connectivity and security services to access DoD approved Wide Area Networks, NAVAIR labs and ranges. The Branch also provides RDT&E Governance support

9 RDT&E Customer Service Branch Charter (Aircraft Division) File: NAVAIR Brief9 The RDT&E Aircraft Division Customer Service Branch is responsible for providing tailorable Information Technology (IT) and expertise in direct support of RDT&E laboratories. The Branch supports the RDT&E laboratories by providing them critical information technology required to perform their mission. This allows the RDT&E laboratory the ability to focus on their mission and their products while being able to leverage a highly trained, skilled and certified IT workforce on an as-needed or adhoc basis.

The branch provides tailorable Information Technology and expertise in direct support of NAWC TSD RDT&E Laboratories. They key functional areas of the branch are the RDT&E connectivity services, RDT&E backbone infrastructure and external network communications, including the operation and maintenance of the RDT&E network infrastructure. The branch provides the management and oversight of the architecture, security, processes and procedures used by the RDT&E community for data communications. The branch operates the NAWC TSD RDT&E Base Area Networks, providing cost effective connectivity and security services to access DoD approved Wide Area Networks, NAVAIR labs and ranges. * This Orlando branch is still in process of standing up.

The branch provides tailorable Information Technology and expertise in direct support of NAWC Lakehurst RDT&E Laboratories. They key functional areas of the branch are the RDT&E connectivity services, RDT&E backbone infrastructure and external network communications, including the operation and maintenance of the RDT&E network infrastructure. The branch provides the management and oversight of the architecture, security, processes and procedures used by the RDT&E community for data communications. The branch operates the NAWC Lakehurst RDT&E Base Area Networks, providing cost effective connectivity and security services to access DoD approved Wide Area Networks, NAVAIR labs and ranges.
