3 CDM Regulations The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) The above regulations came into force on the 6 April 2015 and apply to construction work in the entertainment and events industry. The regulations identify the following roles Client Principle Designer Designer Principle Contractor Contractor You are about to enter a CDM site and must comply with the ICC Site Rules as well as the Client’s Safety Arrangements.

4 Technical Event Manager Your ICC Technical Event Manager will be identified by the main organiser in their documentation. Logistics Event Manager Your ICC Event Logistics Manager will be identified by the main organiser in their documentation. Who’s who?

5 Toilets Your nearest toilet facilities are From Hall 1 Stage the backstage corridor Hall 3 – Entrance Door 2 Hall 4 – Foyer Area Hall 5 - Foyer Area Water Bottled water can be bought from any of The Mall food and beverage concessions or WH Smiths. Welfare

6 The Health and Safety Arrangements at the ICC are intended to keep you safe and incident free. You also have a responsibility to yourself and others in the CDM site. Please work safely and if you see something that may be of danger to yourself or others, report it immediately to the Client, Event Manager, ICC Exhibition Manager or your Line Manager Health & Safety – your duty of care

7 If you or a colleague require First Aid make it known to an ICC Security Officer. The officer will attend to, or make further arrangements if required. First Aid

8 Restricted Access When restrictive signage, barriers and flashing beacons are in place do not enter the restricted area without appropriate PPE. This will be a minimum of hi vis jacket and appropriate footwear. If people are working at height you must wear a hard hat. If in any doubt ASK your main Organiser, Exhibition Manager, Event Manager or PPE Officer. Hall Access Policy

9 Site Rules 1.Compliance with ICC Site Rules, Hall Access Policy, eGuide, H & S legislation and CDM regulations is required at all times. 2.The speed limit within Bay Areas and halls is 5mph. 3.Vehicle access into the halls and/or CDM site must be approved by the venue and Client or Principle Contractor. 4.Be considerate and don’t block in other vehicles. 5.Be safe and be seen - Hi-vis jackets must be worn at all times when off- loading and loading vehicles within the loading bays. 6.All forklift and vehicle movement within the halls must be coordinated and managed safely. 7.Hatch markings outside each VE Door and areas immediately in front of the VE Doors inside the halls must be kept clear and accessible at all times.

10 Site Rules 8.Emergency gangways must be maintained to allow cleaning tractors, forklift movement and emergency access/egress at all times. 9.Emergency gangways must be clearly identified. 10.Only authorised access to halls – all personnel working within a CDM site must be informed of the ICC site rules 11.Appropriate management and safe methods of working at height is required at all times. 12.Hot Work requires a hot work permit from the venue. 13.All accidents, incidents & near misses must be reported immediately. 14.Work tidy – maintain good housekeeping at all times and dispose of all waste in an appropriate manner.

11 Emergency Evacuation If the evacuation message is activated, please leave the building by the nearest emergency exit. Please ensure you identify your nearest emergency exit on arrival at the hall. Once out of the building make your way to the assembly point in front of the main entrance on Centenary Square, or as directed by ICC staff. Do not re enter the building until given clearance by our security team

13 CDM non-compliance If you do not comply with the CDM regulations which includes the Site Rules and this Site Induction you may be required to stop work by the Client, Event Manager or ICC Exhibition Manager until the issue is rectified Thank you for your time and co operation
